Being unemployed is stressful. We know first-hand how overwhelming and hard it can be to find work, especially in a position that you love. For the many people who are affected by the COVID-19 crisis, this could be their first time unemployed in a long time and some may be unaware of the support that is available to them.

EPIC Assist is a not-for-profit disability employment service. For the past 30 years, we’ve been helping people who have a disability, injury, health condition, or mental health condition find meaningful and long-lasting employment in a range of different industries including admin, retail, hospitality, and IT. We have built strong connections with top employers who come directly to us whenever they are looking to hire.

Our services are free of charge and participants receive regular job seeker payments through Centrelink as part of the Australian Government’s Disability Employment Services program.

Getting started with EPIC is simple. Once you have you have checked your eligibility, contact us and we will connect you to your local EPIC office. From there, our EPIC Employment Consultants will help you get registered through Centrelink.

How do we help?

Our Employment Consultants take the time to get to know your interests, strengths and employment goals and create a personalised job plan. This way we can focus on finding jobs that you will love and thrive in.

If you’re feeling a little rusty on your resume skills, we’re here to help you create a great CV that will make a standout first impression on employers. From there, we’ll work with you to prepare job applications, practise interview skills, and attend job interviews. We also offer additional free support through our mental health consultancy.

Once you have gained employment, we stay and support you for however long you need us. We can support you on-the-job in your workplace, assist you to travel to and from your workplace, and help both you and your new employer make reasonable adjusts to suit your needs. We are here for the long run; we don’t disappear once you get a job.

If you are looking for extra support during this stressful time, please contact us today. We are here to help you in any way that we can.
