The new year is always a great time to reflect on the year ahead. We asked EPIC staff what their resolutions, goals or tips were to make 2020 the best year yet.

No regrets

“Live in the moment and have no regrets. People spend too much time thinking of the future or living in the past. Enjoy the now and you’ll have no regrets. Be grateful for what you have today and focus on the positives.” – Mandy

Share a challenge with someone

“Whether it is eating healthier, being more active or reading more sharing a goal with someone can increase motivation. Supporting each other through healthy competition can be fun.” – Kathy C

Start walking the dog

“Being active with your furry friend is great for your body and mind. There is nothing better than starting your day with a walk with your best friend.” – Erickson

Find your employment passion

“It is important to love and feel passionate about your job. Whether you’re looking for a new job or looking for fresh motivation in your current position, it’s important to think about what you want to get out of your employment.” – Wallace

Willing to bend

“Nothing is black and white; the world is made up of shades of grey. You must be able to change and see other perspectives in order to succeed.” – Kathy G

Stand up straighter

“Both figuratively and literally. Posture has never been my forte. I tend to slouch and let myself slip down in chairs until my chin is in line with my desk. My best and easiest resolution is to remind myself to stand up straight all the time. I won’t let myself walk into a room without pulling back my shoulders and lifting up my chin. Even if I don’t feel confident, I’ll make sure I look confident. 2020 is the year of faking it until you make it!” – Amy

Make more time for yourself

“Taking time to relax, reflect or do something just for you is great for your mental health and recovering from the many stressors in our lives.” – Rachel

Try volunteering

“Helping others and giving back is a great way to become a part of a community. It is the best feeling knowing you have made a difference in someone’s life.” – Evie
