Traineeships and apprenticeships

At EPIC we can support you to complete an apprenticeship or traineeship that will help you land a great career.

How can I find the right traineeship or apprenticeship for me?

EPIC doesn’t believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Instead, we meet with you to understand what career you’re looking for. We then work to connect you with local, like-minded businesses.

Overview

To complete your traineeship or apprenticeship, you will be required to work either 8 or 15 hours a week, depending on your circumstances, and complete the theory component of your certificate.

At the end of your traineeship or apprenticeship, you will have gained work experience and an accredited certificate.

Depending on what you are studying, traineeships take between 1-3 years to complete and apprenticeships generally take between 3-4 years.

EPIC’s support during your apprenticeship

EPIC offers one-on-one, ongoing support in your workplace for as long as you need it, and can support you with your studies.

“EPIC doesn’t follow mainstream models that most other support agencies follow. They show a lot more personal interest in all of us. They have a more tailored approach where they treat us all as individuals.” – Peter, NPS feedback

Eligibility

Anyone who qualifies for EPIC’s services is eligible to complete a traineeship or apprenticeship, after a review of your language, literacy and numeracy levels.

If you’re a Year 12 student, we can assist you through a school-based traineeship or apprenticeship.

Costs

You may be required to pay a contribution towards the cost of your apprenticeship or traineeship, and this cost differs depending on you are studying. EPIC can help cover the cost of workwear, travel and some workplace modifications.
