EPIC Employment Service Inc (EPIC) observes all privacy principles adopted by each sovereignty in which we operate. EPIC maintains appropriate and accurate records for all employees and participants/clients, taking reasonable steps to ensure protection against misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure of personal information.
EPIC collects and administers a variety of information for diverse purposes, some of which is restricted in its distribution for commercial, privacy or ethical reasons. EPIC collects information in an open and transparent way that is only required for its primary function, using lawful and unobtrusive means, and ensures stakeholders are informed as to what information is collected and why, and how it will be administered. If practical and lawful, we give people the option of interacting anonymously.
EPIC records are not to contain comments that may be perceived as discriminatory, defamatory or inappropriately critical of any person concerned or named.
EPIC recognises the rights of individuals to have their information administered in ways which they would reasonably expect, being protected and also available for them to access, raise a complaint and/or for corrections. EPIC Board of Management (BOM), members, employees and volunteers are not to disclose to any member of the public any confidential information acquired by their involvement with EPIC. EPIC stores personal or confidential information securely to protect it from unauthorised access, modifications, misuse, disclosure or loss. EPIC takes reasonable steps to ensure personal information is accurate, complete and up-to-date and to ensure personal information is destroyed or permanently de-identified when no longer needed or in compliance with legislation.
All non-confidential EPIC records may be available to the public at the discretion of the CEO who adopts a general presumption in favour of transparency, subject to the marketing, commercial, legal and administrative priorities and resources of EPIC.
